I am incredibly excited to be involved in our local Granville Pride Parade and Festival this year. I was voted onto the Pride Board in March 2023, and since that first meeting, I have been heavily involved in every aspect of their digital marketing. I am proud to be the face behind the Granville Pride social media accounts, from shooting Ally videos to scheduling content to redesigning the website and creating all the email blasts. As a bisexual woman in the community, it has been incredible to watch my volunteer efforts make a difference for my LGBTQIA+ family and watch our little village come together to support diversity, inclusion, and love.

NGSO was honored to welcome soloist, Timothy Chooi, on May 13th. Timothy is a world-renowned violinist who performed the great Mendelssohn and Brahms Violin Concertos. Prior to the event, Timothy visited local high schools in the area and spoke to students about practice techniques, his career, and did a bit of hands-on learning while he was here. It was inspiring to see how he connected with the students and inspired them to pursue their own dreams.

In conjunction with the Art Walk, GCFA will be hosting an Art March, which I will be live posting and following during the event.

The march will begin at GCFA at 5:00 to meet artist Christian Faur and view his work in the gallery. Then we will leave at 5:30 pm for our second art opening at the Granville Public Library.

We are excited to be hosting our annual Pride Silent Auction. Seek-No-Further Cidery is hosting the Pride Silent Auction on May 4th from 6-8 pm, join us for a night of fundraising for this year’s pride festival and to bid on unique items that are all donated by locals!
